A working GED teacher, not an edtech company.
WayMaker GED Toolkit was built by a working GED instructor in a live adult-education program at a college. Every lesson in this shop was written for a real class, taught in a real classroom, and edited afterward based on how the students actually reacted.
I'm a facilitation-certified educator and a published author. I know what it feels like to be handed a curriculum and asked to make it land for adults who have jobs, kids, trauma, and a real reason to pass this test. WayMaker exists because I needed lessons that respected that reality — cinematic enough to hold attention, gamified enough to feel like a win, and rigorous enough to move the needle on the GED.
Everything here is designed for GED and ABE teachers specifically. Not K–12. Not general ESL. Just adult learners studying for the GED, and the teachers in the room with them.

I went from spending Sunday nights writing lessons to just opening a pack and teaching. My students actually ask when we're doing the next Boss Battle.
The flip cards alone saved me. My adult learners finally retain vocabulary instead of forgetting it by Thursday.
I was skeptical about the 'cinematic' angle, but my students stay engaged for the full 90 minutes. That's never happened with standard curriculum.
Finally, lessons built for adults — not watered-down K–12 material. My students feel respected, and it shows in their test scores.
Worth every penny. I bought one pack to try it, then bought the whole shop. My program now uses these as our supplementary enrichment standard.
